This Is Monroeville

CEC’s Monroeville office began operations as CEC Export in January 2001 with the purchase of a consulting firm located on the east side of Pittsburgh. In October 2019, the office moved from Export to Monroeville to accommodate our growing staff. Our growing team consists of engineers, scientists, ecologists, geologists, hydrogeologists, surveyors, GIS specialists, and field technicians. We offer a broad spectrum of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, ecological, geologic, hydrogeologic, environmental, risk assessment, surveying, and construction-related services serving the natural gas, real estate, solid waste, manufacturing, mining, power, and public sector industries.
CEC is ranked #39 on the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2024 Largest Pittsburgh-area Private Companies list, #1 on the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2024 Largest Pittsburgh-area Environmental Firms list, and #5 on the Largest Pittsburgh-area Engineering Firms list.
CEC is ranked #10 in Pennsylvania and #24 overall on the 2024 ENR Mid-Atlantic Top Design Firms list.
CEC is listed as a Top Engineering Firm and a Top Environmental Firm in Central Pennsylvania by Pennsylvania Business Central.

CEC Monroeville’s culture is one of stability and sustainable growth, with a close-knit group of senior professionals who enjoy the mentorship of younger staff. A mixture of development programs and exposure to a variety of industry projects enables the continued career growth of our young professionals. Plus, our team enjoys summer picnics, Pittsburgh Pirates games, golf outings, axe throwing, bowling, happy hours, and a festive annual holiday party.

We hold an annual holiday party fundraiser for local charities, and donate for the purchase of children’s bicycles during the holidays, among other causes. We participate in charitable giving for various children’s services through our client partnerships, and provide pro bono services on a case-by-case basis to nonprofit community organizations. Also, ask us about our Matt Oberst scholarship fund.
