This Is Charlotte
Founded in August 2011, CEC’s Charlotte office is rooted in partnership between mutual colleagues and a desire to expand operations to the Carolinas. CEC Charlotte’s staff of 40+ professionals has a broad spectrum of expertise in air quality, civil engineering, ecological sciences, environmental engineering and sciences, waste management, and water resources.
CEC Charlotte is ranked #19 on the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2021 Charlotte’s Largest Engineering Firms list.

Our Charlotte team’s mix of seasoned veterans and younger professionals fosters an environment well suited for constant learning and opportunity. Continued educational and technical training, marketing development, and involvement with other aspects of management are available to staff at every level. Plus, we enjoy monthly happy hours, an annual fall outing, and an annual holiday party.
We’re actively involved with a variety of community-oriented events and charitable organizations, most notably, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services Adopt-A-Stream program; various Charlotte-area 5K charity runs and walk-a-thons, including the Walk for Cancer 5K and the local Corporate 5K FunRun; and Red Cross blood drives.
